1.1 The scope of work includes, but is not limited, to the following:
• Promote the FamilyMatters@School programme
• Assist the school in conducting needs assessment to identify needs of parents and students
• Plan, organise and implement FLE programmes for each target group
• Publicise programmes and encourage participation from target groups
• Collate participant feedback (whenever necessary)
• Administer and file/submit FLE programme reports, reimbursement and other required documents to MSF
• Provide information and referrals to parents and students
• Identify parents for Parent Facilitator Training, and work closely with the school to provide platforms for the trained parent facilitators to pay back their obligatory hours
• Carry out any other FamilyMatter@School-related duties


2.1 The coordinator will be expected to work closely with the school personnel-in-charge to deliver family life education programmes for the target groups in the financial year (i.e. from Apr 2014 to Mar 2015). He/She shall use his/her best endeavours to ensure the following KPIs are met at the end of each financial year.

2.2 At least 100 hours FLE programmes to be conducted per year, comprising:

a) Minimum 70 hours of FLE programmes for parents

Of the 70 hours of FLE programmes for parents, at least 50% (i.e. 35 hours) must be from the FamilyMatters@School Programme Menu . The remaining hours may consist of in-house programmes including talks, workshops, bonding activities or any form of programmes by school staff or trained parent facilitators that meet one or more of the objectives:
• Equip parents with the skills and knowledge to enrich and strengthen their family life; and
• Foster better parent-child understanding and relationship.

b) Not more than 30 hours of FLE programmes for students

This may include talks, workshops, interactive activities or any form of programmes that meet one or more of the following objectives:

• Equip students with life skills and skills to build healthy relationships with their peers and family; and
• Imbue positive values and attitudes towards family, relationships and life in general.


3.1 The coordinator must possess the following:

• Educational qualification of at least “O” Level or equivalent.
• Good administrative, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Able to run FLE programmes during weekday nights and weekends.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• The candidate must be fluent in the English and should have working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
• Previous or related work experience in education industry or public education and outreach work is preferred.

3.2 The coordinator should be prepared and willing to work weekday nights and weekends, when required.

3.3 The coordinator would be required to sign the Undertaking to Safeguard Official Information, where all official information acquired in the course of his/her work is to be treated as confidential and not to be published or communicated to any other person.

3.4 The coordinator shall serve no more than 3 schools. The coordinator shall inform the respective schools if he/she is serving more than 1 school.
